Pop-Up Pirate is a very popular game that was first released in Japan way back in 1975. Over the years there have been many different variations of the game. They have included versions such as Super Mario, Darth Vader and many more.
The rules of the game are simple, place the pirate in the spring-loaded barrel and rotate it to randomize the unlucky slot. Players must take turns to place colourful plastic swords in the side of the barrel. If a player places a sword in the unlucky slot the pirate launches out of the barrel and the player is out.
The last player remaining after all other players have been knocked out is the overall winner.
Thankfully Pop-Up Pirate is still available in stores today so getting your hands on one shouldn’t be a problem.
